Agri-Environmental Indicators Core Information Service: Soil Erosion Risk

 

The European Commission, Joint Research Centre, SOIL Action and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AuTH) - School of Forestry and Natural Environment have developed the 'AE-04 Soil Erosion risk' product based on a new soil erosion model named G2. Data and Maps are freely available for public users.

The 2 partners have organised a training for end users and potential new users promoting the services developed within Geoland-2 and more particular the AgriEnv services. The training took place in Thessaloniki (Greece) , 29 May 2012 hosted by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AuTH) - School of Forestry and Natural Environment. The training event has been attended by 15 scientists and national policy makers from all over Greece. Participants were coming from National Agricultural Research Foundation (N.AG.RE.F., Athens), the Land Reclamation Institute, the Institute of Soil Mapping and Classification of N.AG.RE.F(Larisa), the Aristotle university of Thessaloniki, the Greek Soil Science Society, the American Farm School and the Technological university of Thessaloniki.
