SOIL MAPS OF LATIN AMERICA & CARIBBEAN ISLANDS
As a continuation of the first and second phases involving the Soil Maps of Africa and Soil maps of Asia, respectively, in the third phase of the EuDASM, the maps of the Latin America and Caribbean islands pertaining to soil and related studies accounting to about 1060 maps were added to the archive. MANDATE OF ISRIC - WORLD SOIL INFORMATION
To increase knowledge of the land, its soils in particular, and to support the sustainable use of land resources. ISRIC is an independent knowledge and research centre, affiliated with the Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and functions as World Data Centre for Soils under the International Council for Science to collect, archive and disseminate data and information on the soils in the world.
