Data format

Due to the complexity of different datasets integrated, here we  provided the R script and R data format(.Rda), which allow to reproduce the text and supplementary figures of the paper.

We suggest downloading the folders in your local drive and executing the script, upon installation of missing libraries in case, to get familiar with the complex data structure.

Data can be easily extracted from the corresponding ‘figure objects’ if the user is familiar with R. Otherwise, please, contact emanuele.lugato@ec.europa.eu; arwyn.jones@ec.europa.eu .

  • make_figures4albedo-covercrop-paper: R script making all the text figures (including supplementary FigS. 5-7)
  • dataFigures: folder containing the data in R format for the 4 scenarios
    • data4scen1_normalCC-noSNOW.Rda: snow-free and normal cover crop scenario
    • data4scen2_normalCC-withSNOW.Rda: snow and normal cover crop scenario
    • data4scen3_mutantCC-noSNOW.Rda: snow-free and mutant cover crop scenario
    • data4scen4_mutantCC-withSNOW.Rda: snow and mutant cover crop scenario
  • textFigures: folder where pdf figures will be generated
  • dataAncillary: folder containing the land mask (shapefile)

Purpose I am contacting you for the urban-architectural and landscape consultation Luxembourg in Transition - Territorial visions for the decarbonized and resilient future of the Luxembourg functional region (https://luxembourgintransition.lu). I work for H+N+S landscape architects, within the consortium led by MVRDV. You can find the work of our team here: https://luxembourgintransition.lu/equipes/ In the third step of this consultation, we are studying the hydrological and soil system in more detail.
